Intersecting LivesRose Thompson set out for Tinkers Well, Kansas with no expectations for anything but a quiet summer spent with her kind but outspoken grandmother during their visit to the home of Granny Gert’s old school chum, Aletha Mason. Raised in a quiet town with little real excitement, Rose had always longed for adventure, yet had resigned herself to never actually experiencing any. But as luck would have it, she is unexpectedly swept into a fairytale romance with Simon, the embodiment of male perfection; volunteers to help with the restoration of a decrepit but glorious old Victorian mansion; and develops surprisingly rich friendships with three army vets-turned-home renovators. In the course of her exploits, she learns that blissful dreams aren’t always what they seem and that faith in the reality of God’s grace and purpose is richer and more rewarding than any fantasy.
Intersecting Beliefs
The honeymoon is over, and newlyweds Tim and Rose Ludlow settle into the fun, yet haphazard, process of learning to live as husband and wife. Their friend Abe still aches for his estranged family even as he looks forward with joy to his own upcoming nuptials, and Derek Warner must adjust to his role as “the last living bachelor.” Life goes on. But the arrival of an embezzler’s gorgeous wife stirs the peaceful waters of Tinkers Well. Into the building maelstrom step a retired Jewish couple who long for friendships amid the inhabitants of their new community, and things begin to happen. Not the least of these is the project nearest to the heart of a reformed New York land developer, though he is still doubtful of its success. Add a life-and-death caper for Granny Gert and Aletha, and it’s time, once more, for readers to fasten their seat belts and enjoy the ride!

Intersecting DreamsWith a trail of shattered dreams and devastating betrayal behind her, Rose Thompson faces an unknown future. Thanks to the help of her irrepressible grandmother and her many new Tinkers Well friends, she picks up the pieces to discover her own strengths and a true vision. Abe Yousef, former Muslim turned Christ follower, embarks on his own shaky path, which challenges not only his new faith, but his closest relationships as well. And a ghost from the past leaves Tim Ludlow and his mother Marilyn walking a fine line between doubt and hope in the redemptive power of God’s forgiveness. Throw in an epic storm, a burgeoning romance, and the hilarious antics of Granny Gert and her old school chum Aletha, who are as nosy and conniving as they are kind and generous, and Rose can’t help but find more adventure than even she could imagine!
Intersecting Destinies
International intrigue and marital strife are nothing compared to the challenge of pursuing romance in the face of total indifference. It’s business as usual in Tinkers Well, a small Kansas town that could rival world capitals for excitement and unexpected adventure. Tim and Rose Ludlow must test the strength of their union when troubling social trends force the young couple to make decisions affecting their future, while Abe Yousef’s solid plan to follow God’s leading into ministry takes a surprising turn. The only certainty in Derek Warner’s life is his desire to follow in his father’s footsteps, until an exotic newcomer blindsides his ambition, causing him to question the very foundation of his faith. With misgivings, his mother, Angelica, agrees to aid in the apprehension of a jewel thief, though her efforts pale in comparison to those of the irrepressible Granny Gert and Aletha, who enlist the aid of local seniors to beat her to the prize. Who will cross the finish line first?

Come for a book, stay for a series.
|
Characters in a book are much like people we meet anywhere. They capture our hearts, engage us in their lives, and instill in us a desire to know them better. The friends we encounter in Intersecting Lives are no different. As their stories unfold in subsequent books of the Intersections series, we discover their strengths, their flaws, and their common desire to live honorably through their decisions and life choices. And like us, they sometimes stumble, but their inherent desire to trust God in all they do encourages us to face our own obstacles with faith in God's provision and presence.
